Unbridled Optimism

It’s rare that I see something that makes me feel like we technonerds are doing unqualifiedly good things for the world.

So, I’d like to thank Dean Kamen for just… doing good things.

    Yeah, that’s really cool. The level of control that they get is quite impressive.

    That man just amazes me sometimes. I almost feel sorry for the test pilot, having to take that off when he goes home.

    I was thinking the exact same thing, Chris. To go 26 years without, and to get it back for a day, 2, 10, whatever, and then having it taken away again. Only I don’t “almost” feel sorry for him

    True enough; almost doesn’t really cover it. From what I can tell, though, I would be willing to bet that he’s going to be near first in line for a production model, given what I know of Dean Kamen’s charitable nature. So there’s that, at least.
